Spring is here for our Pomegranate & Persimmon trees from Georgia

It took a long time for the second tree to sprout after it had been planted. In fact we feared it had died but kept faith with the assurances we had received that they would sprout eventually.

This is their second spring and they look great. Thanks Ika, Ia and Zura.

VELO FAHREN

After a short lunch stop...

It was back on my new bike for further lessons and practice. Having bought it at the velo bourse in Muenchenbuchsee this morning, it took me ten minutes to master the peddles and get cycling! The Likeamountainbike had a lot to do with my balance already being good.

I needed a little helping hand on some of the steeper slopes (I have yet to get a satisfactory answer as to why my velo does not have 21 gears like Mama's and Papa's, and like Gotta Anet's Gotta Ia's, and Goetti Phil's for that matter!!!)

I invested my trust in Mama's coaching for the descent, where I had to peddle slightly backwards to apply the brakes.

It's really not that hard...

Once back on the flat I could really start to peddle...

...and soon overtook Papa!

CIAO!!!

I even managed to avoid puddles; the joy of riding through them comes next time.

Last one back to the loft buys the beer!
