My second trip to Under the Eiger North Face!

Well, to start with, I was really not interested into the programme of the day at all! But what you CAN see: the red rim of my bright new shirt I got from Godmother Anet as a Christmas present - it is soooo nice I had to immediatley wear it for this special trip! Thank you very much!
But after we had met Tim and Anet, and picked up two sledges, and ended up in the beautiful and noble Wengerenalp Hotel, where one Mama had a great soup (she hardly got anything of it as most was eaten by her son), and another Mama a great portion of Apple strudel, right under the Jungfrau Joch, things started to improve! As usual I was however mostly interested in my books, of course with an ovomaltine!

Then we were about to set off, and when I realized that I was supposed to wear sunglasses I tried to escape immediately! How I hated this!

Here on a short stop - I liked it most when we went really fast! Unfortunately the Mama's opted for slow and safe, they said there was ice below the snow! Well, Tim, soon we will operate our own sledges! And we can wait for our Mamas further down!

Two of the five in the party (we do not mention who) fell asleep during descent and the two Mamas decided to have a nap in the sun, leant against an old barn, as well. What a shame we had no white wine with us! Never again we will set out without!

Well deserved chips shared between Ella Tili, Tim and Mama in Wengen! What a different place when coming from the Jura: lots of rich people wondering around in very beautiful Wengen!

One thing has particularely impressed Ella Tili: how well Tim drinks from a wine glass! However, on this occasion I was wondering if he has been looking slightly too deep into his glass already!

Dear Tim and Anet, thank you very much for a fabulous day!

Sunday Hike to Chez Nico in Les Reussilles

Setting off - in the back ground our loft in the former watch factory!

On the way I fell asleep, actually sitting on Mama's shoulders and simply resting my head on hers...here you can see me on the bright red sofa of Chez Nico!
Some Jura horses passing by!
Almost home again!
But then I decided to make a little detour from the trail!
Obviously under the watchful eyes of my close protector Castor!

New Year's Eve at Martin's and Benny's

At last Mama, Castor and myself had arrived - the train we were supposed to take had derailled, and we stranded in the Buffet de la Gare in Tavannes! For the celebration of the day I wear my Afghan dress and Papa needs to show these pictures to his collaborators!
From Benny I got a HUGE Teddy Bear (no way he fitted on the photo) and this little book, where there are holes to stick your fingers through! Nonna is explaining it to me.

They also have a beautiful Christmas tree from the Häberli forest! I am inspecting it.

The table decoration was marvelous, and the food delicous: it started with a broccoli soup on Wensleydale cheese that we had lugged from the UK! I however only ate apritiv!

Biggest chair for me at the end of the table! Last time I was offered this seat I still was small enough to lay on it!

And this is the view from my seat - Nonna, Rosella, Martin, Alina, Benny the Chef and Grandpapa! Three more invitees were ill!

At some point I retired to the floor, with my bottle of milk, Swiss shoes but still in the Afghan dress! I love it, thank you Papa! And later when I slept Mama put me into the skisuit and we travelled back home through the deep winter: there was a direct train from Biel to Tavannes, and a little bus for us only, and because Mama asked, he drove almost to rue de l'industrie! Of course for this I had to wake up again, and see the thick snow flakes falling from the sky! And when the next morning Mama and myself woke up at 9am (well, I had woken up once, or twice before already, and Mama had to bring me milk and a fresh nappy...) the sun was shining on our face. So it was a beautiful New Year's Eve and New Year!
